Its Autumn / Winter – that can only mean one thing – lots of PAD Site work and Public Training

Written by Sevenoaks CFRs on Monday, 13 November 2017

So as the days get shorter and there are less sunny events to attend, when we are not responding we start to focus on other ways to support our community. At the moment we are in the process of installing 4 new Public Access Defibrillators.  The first of these has recently gone live.

Our friends at the award winning Indian restaurant kindly offer to install and host an AED outside their restaurant in Tubbs Hill Parade in Sevenoaks.  Yahi ( second from left) the owner has been a long term supporter of Sevenoaks CFRs and we thank him for his commitment to the local community.

We are also in the process of finalising three other sites in the local area and will publish details soon.

Training is a big Agenda item at this time of year.  Recently our friends at Shipbourne Parish Council and The Chase Inn  gave us an opportunity to train local residents CPR and how to use the Defibrillator which is attached to the pub.

We also ran a session for 40 members of the Borough Green WI and we have additional sessions coming up for a local cycling club as well. Do get in touch if your local society or club would like some free training.

Finally and very excitingly we have been selected as a potential beneficiary of The Co-Operatives Local Cause Charity

If you shop at Co-op please join  - you get 5% back from your shopping and we get 1%
