What a summer that was……

Written by Sevenoaks CFRs on Monday, 18 September 2017

Well firstly apologies that it's been so long since our last update - its been a busy few months. Let me fill you in on some of the things that have happened:

Firstly we won this!!!!

A fabulous result and real boost to the team for all their efforts

Then, whilst helping launch a new Public Access Defibrillator at http://westerhamcyclery.co.uk/

We met the one and only Gloria Hunniford

But you know what, the real stars in our eyes are all those dedicated members of the public than come out to learn how to do CPR and how to use an AED at one of our public training sessions

And of course our team need some training themselves sometimes, so a huge thanks to our Friends at http://www.kent.fire-uk.org/

Especially to Road Safety Experience Team from running a bespoke training evening for Kent CFRs

We finally finished the event season with a visit to Riverhead Carnival

We will be continuing to run FRee Public Training throughout the winter - we have some specific groups booked in but our next public session is at the Chaser Inn, Shipbourne, at 19.00 on Tuesday 7th November

In addition to all our training, the team are out responding most days an have clocked up over 1,000 hrs in the last few months.

Enjoy your Autumn and remember the roads and pavements start getting slippery now the leave are falling  - so give yourself plenty of time and take care
