Update – 9th April

Written by Sevenoaks CFRs on Thursday, 09 April 2015

Well what a busy month its been!  At the moment we are averaging 3-5 call outs a month, we've had the helicopter out twice, and helped patients with a huge range of conditions from Chest Pains & Cardiac Arrests, through to a lady who had fallen from her horse, head injuries, falls, diabetic problems and cuts and bruises.

In addition to our operational duties, staff from SECAmb have given up their time to run a couple of really useful training sessions to keep our skills fresh and up to date. We really appreciate their time and commitment.

We have also installed a AED at Sevenoaks Station for public use, it is located in the station office on Platform 2 at the moment, whilst we identify a permanent home for it in the station.

This week we are making final preparations for our Emergency Life Saving Skills training course that we are running on the 18th of April in conjunction with Sevenoaks District Council. We have 35 residents in the morning and another 35 in the afternoon with a waiting list of 40+ people on it.  As soon as we are able we will schedule another date as there is clearly a lot of demand.

Finally, remember we can only do all this with your support and generous donations. This month we have raised over £130 just via our "Donate By Shopping" link on our website that allows you to make a free donation whenever you do your online shopping with over 2500 retailers via our link. Costs you nothing and we get between .5% - 5% of your total spend.
