Its Febrrrruary….

Written by Sevenoaks CFRs on Monday, 08 February 2016

Well the days are slowly getting longer, but its still pretty chilly out there isn't it! Fortunately the team have been keeping warm with a couple of indoor public events.

First off our friends at Raj Bari Indian Cuisine in Tubbs Hill Parade, Sevenoaks hosted a Charity Curry Night with live music and amazing food

They raised an amazing £271 - a fantastic result

This weekend the team spent Sunday morning in Starbucks. Much as we all love our coffee we were actually there to offer free CPR, AED & First Aid Training to Staff and Customers

We had a great time, and Local Journalist Stewart Rogers did a live link to his popular Facebook page

We were fortunate to receive a "Red Cup Grant" from Starbucks last december of £1,000 having been voted for by their customers, so this was chance for us to say Thank You to both the customers and the Staff in Carlos's team

Coming up soon is more free Public training in Edenbridge on the 2nd April and we will also be running our larger event in Sevenoaks in the near future.  Watch this space for dates.

We have two new Echo CFR's ( the first level of qualification) who have just qualified to respond to Cardiac  Arrests in the Kemsing area - SEV10E and SEV11E. We have just purchased their equipment from the generous public donations we have received and they will be on the road from this week.

Oh yes and we have also been responding of course. This month's call outs have included a baby with breathing difficulties, a cardiac arrest, chest pains, potential stroke amongst others and our fastest on scene time in the past month was 3 minutes! Well done Sev03!

That's all for now, check back later in the month for more news
